Why am I disappearing for quite sometimes? Hmmm ... been busy lately. Ni pun baru habis Veterinarian Course yang diorang buat kat Zoo Melaka. Memang time restricted dan no sufficient rest for the participants. Bayangkan kalau rehat / break untuk makan hanya 10 minit and then lepas tu sambung kuliah or practical session for another 2 hours. Malam lak..break untuk makan malam dan solat maghrib hanya 30 minutes and then kuliah till 11.00 pm... Letih giler....!!
Day 1st - banyaknyer kuliah... maklumla, semua fascilitators berpengalaman dan tak sabar-sabar nak mencurahkan pengalaman mereka kepada the juniors. Okay lagi la...baru first day. Mengantuk tak tau nak habaq la... Petang lak, tengahari rembang ok buat evaluation sangkar-sangkar mengikut group yang telah dibahagikan. My group was Group 1. My collegues were from Hong Kong ( Kadoorie Farm) , Cambodia , Vietnam and Malaysia. The one from Vietnam joined us on the second day. We had to evaluate the new Tiger Exhibit and also the Small-clawed Otter's Exhibit. We had to find what could be the defact for those exhibits.Tak banyak kesilapan yang boleh dicari since both exhibits were quite new. Malam, again with the kuliah.
Day 2nd - We started as early as 7.30 am, heading for the hoofstocks. We had to translocate the male Nilghai
( surplus ) to the Bachelor Group enclosure.The other participants were doing the Wildebeest, The Ankole Cattle, the male Scimittar-horned Oryx and another Nilghai ( supposed to catch the pregnant female for ultrasound, but ended with the subadult male with swollen leg ). We had our tea-break ( or breakfast ? ) at 12.00 noon. Then had our lunch at 1.30 pm. Petang, buat IM pinning for birds. For this practical, we have to potong tulang burung mynah ( Gembala Kerbau ) and then sambung balik dengan pinning. Ada yang survive dan ada yang mati.Malam after dinner, kuliah again.
Day 3rd - Today was the reptiles day.We had our lectures in the morning and then practicals for restraining the Crocodylus porosus ( Saltwater Crocodile ) according to our groups. My group had to do treatment for the injured crocodile.My group was considered the BEST group coz kitorang really work as a team. Malam, semua keletihan...but have to dengar lectures again.
Day 4th - Continue with the reptile restraint. We had to catch tortoises to take blood samples and do force feeding.Then tangkap biawak dan ular pulak lepas tu. Actually today was supposed to be the last day.Past break pagi, continue with lectures before the closing ceremony by our Director General of Wildlife Dept. at 4.30 pm. Malam, time to enjoy ourselves after 4 consecutive, restless and fun days. We had a Bar-B-Que night and also each group had to do sketsa. Apa lagi, ni la time untuk mengajuk para-para fascilitators.... Just For Fun! Balik at midnight..Letih giler.....letih makan, enjoyed myself tonight !!
Saturday lak minggu kerja ( 3rd week )... kena kerja lagi... Malam, ramai yang tipon beritau I masuk Majalah 3 for treatment of Tiger. Tak larat nak layan tipon.. dah la tak dapat tengok!
Hari Ahad pun sama... kerja... tapi nasib baik takdak Zoo Malam. Dapat la relax dan tido awal!
Today? Working days as usual. Ingat nak cuti rehatkan badan... but the vet dah dulu-dulu apply cuti... kena kerja juga la... dia cuti 3 hari lak! Dapat surat I have to go for the Induksi Umum ( the most IMPORTANT kursus in my job! ) from the 13 - 27 July 2006 kat INSTUN, Behrang, Perak. Hmmm... wondering macamana la kursus tu nanti??
